Used Rolls Royce – A New Look For a New Century

In a rather short space of time there has been an absolutely massive evolution in the overall modernisation of Rolls Royce cars. Even up to the early nineties they had a kind of ‘Continental Dictator’ feel about them that added an unmistakable air of gravitas and opulence to what (for all intents and purposes) is a tonne and a half of metal with some wheels attached. With the unveiling of the modern look Rolls Royce Phantom, the impressions given off by Rolls Royce seem decidedly more “approachable”.

Whilst the overall design has retained the kind of ageless class that you would always associate with a car of this breeding and ilk, one can’t help but notice that a few more modern nuances have started to permeate the classic aesthetic.  Take for example the brand new understated front grill, which looks brilliant, but wouldn’t really grab your attention in the same manner that the classic 1925 Phantom’s front grill would.

I was inquisitive as to the motives behind these design advancements so spoke to an expert in the history of Rolls Royce. His opinion, albeit unofficial, is that the company were concerned that although there is a market for classic car fans, they wanted to make the new Phantom more modern and in line with 21st century livings and contemporary design.

If by some chance you are reading this and were considering buying a classic example of the car in question, don’t be disheartened. There are still a plethora of the classic examples on the Used Rolls Royce market.
